Lessons

I teach private lessons at Trinity United Methodist Church as well as my home studio (both pictured). Lessons at Trinity take place on a grand piano in the choir room or the three-manual E.M. Skinner organ in the sanctuary. Lessons at my home studio take place on a 5’10 Kawai grand or the Roland RD-88 keyboard I use for gigging around town.

I have extensive professional experience in performing a wide variety of genres, including classical, sacred, gospel, R&B, rock, and contemporary Christian music. In my teaching, I cultivate a flexible approach to the keyboard that connects classical technique with contemporary sensibilities.

I studied piano pedagogy with Dr. Derek Polischuk, an internationally-renowned pioneer in neurodiverse pedagogy. I teach all student populations, but particularly enjoy working with my college studio at Shaw, adult beginners, retirees, and homeschoolers.
